Stephan Naef to be EBM’s new CFO
The Board of Directors of EBM has appointed Stephan Naef (born 1962) to be the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He will join EBM with effect from 1 September 2016 and will take over responsibility for the company's finances and holdings with effect from 1 October 2016. Stephan Naef is taking over from Cédric Christmann, who has moved internally to take over as Managing Director of EBM Energie AG. Stephan Naef is at present the CFO of Aebi Schmidt Holding AG and a member of its Executive Board. He is married, has four children, and lives in Münchenstein. Stephan Naef studied economics at the University of Zurich, has in-depth experience of financial management, and sits on the board of the Basel-Landschaft Cantonal Bank.
“Stephan Naef has outstanding skills and experience that will enable him, as our head of finance, to secure our corporate strategy and ensure our continued success and growth,” EBM CEO Dr. Conrad Ammann has said.
In response to his appointment as EBM’s CFO, Stephan Naef said: “I have, of course been very familiar indeed with EBM as one of its long-standing customers, and I don't doubt for a moment that the company is currently in a good position. I’m joining its team at a very exciting time, and looking forward to it very much.”
EBM is currently succeeding in driving forward growth in its core business as planned and strengthening its position at national level in a market characterised by significant upheavals and intensive competition. It has, in recent weeks, taken over Swisspower Energy’s electricity purchasing and energy logistics divisions and acquired a majority stake in AVAG (Alpiq Versorgungs AG), which supplies electricity, water and gas to 18 local authorities around Olten.
