On Thursday, 30 October 2025, Elektra Neuendorf and Aare Versorgungs AG (AVAG) signed a comprehensive operational management agreement. Starting 1 May 2026, the agreement governs the management of the medium- and low-voltage networks, and as of 1 January 2027, AVAG will assume full operational responsibility for the entire Elektra Neuendorf network.
This agreement further strengthens the cooperation between the municipal utilities in the Gäu region and AVAG. It contributes to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Elektra Neuendorf and to further professionalizing its network operations.
AVAG will take responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and expansion of the network, as well as for the entire meter-to-cash process. This will ensure that the municipality’s energy supply is managed efficiently, safely, and with a strong customer focus in the long term.
Following the smart meter rollout, Elektra Neuendorf’s customers will also receive active support in improving their energy efficiency and will benefit from a comprehensive range of energy services.
