Parking

Parking at Primeo Energie

As an energy provider, climate and environmental protection are of central importance to us. We are committed to sustainability, conserve resources, and promote sustainable mobility.

That is why we have established and actively use smart sharing models such as Pick-e-Bike, our e-mobility offering on two wheels.

Optimized parking management is also part of this concept. Therefore, our parking spaces are subject to a fee Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The Digital Gate

We do not use a traditional gate or ticket machine. When a vehicle (car, truck) enters the premises, its license plate is captured by the entrance cameras.

Motorcycles are not captured by the camera.

Vision for the Site

For over 120 years, our company-owned site has been conveniently located in the Birstal valley, just outside the city of Basel. Our headquarters is easily accessible to employees and visitors by public transportation, bicycle, and car.

Our site meets the diverse needs of a wide range of users, including offices and industry, maintenance facilities and logistics, as well as education.

Issues of sustainability, the promotion of biodiversity, environmental protection, and the corresponding shaping of our mobility practices as a company are central to us.

Our goal is to gradually develop our headquarters in a smart, inspiring, and forward-looking manner.

Questions

How is access to the site regulated?

The parking lot is generally open to the public. Entry and exit are monitored by license plate recognition. The first hour is free. Paid parking hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What do I need to do as a Primeo Energie employee?

Click here to register using your work email address. Your work email address is required to qualify for the discounted rate.

Who needs to register?

Primeo Energy employees.

Visitors to tenants on the premises and other parking lot users may register, but are not required to do so. They may also pay immediately.

How can I pay if I'm not registered?

Here you can pay your parking fee by entering your license plate number. There are three payment options available: credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

It’s easier if you register. That way, your license plate number and payment information will be saved for your next parking session.

Where can I park?

Visitors may use the blue parking spaces.

The white parking spaces are available for parking unless otherwise marked (Reserved).

Parking spaces with electric charging stations are marked in green.

What happens if I, as a parking lot user, don't pay?

If payment has not been made within 7 days, the vehicle owner's information will be obtained at the owner's expense. In addition to the parking fees, a processing fee of CHF 20 will be charged.

Is there a fee for parking motorcycles and bicycles?

No. All two-wheeled vehicles—including motorcycles, e-bikes, and bicycles—can be parked on the premises free of charge. Employees can charge their e-bikes for free in the underground parking garage. You will need to bring your own charging cable.

Are employees from other locations considered “visitors” at Primeo Energie?

Yes. Employees of Primeo Energie and its subsidiaries who normally work at other locations will be granted visitor access for the duration of their stay in Münchenstein. Simply check in at the front desk.

My delivery person was on the premises for less than 90 minutes. Does he still have to register?

No. There is no parking fee for stays under 90 minutes. That's all there is to it.

The cameras at the entrance and exit record my license plate number. Do I still need to log my work hours as before?

Yes. The employee time-tracking system is a separate system. It operates completely independently of the cameras at the entrance and exit.

How do I know how much I have to pay each month as an employee?

All your data is available at any time in your personal user account. At the end of each month, you will receive an invoice and a detailed breakdown of your parking usage via email. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the front desk.

I can have my parking fees deducted from my paycheck.
How does that work, and who can I ask if I have any questions?

At the end of the month, you will receive an invoice and a detailed breakdown of your parking usage via email.

The amount will be automatically deducted from your paycheck the following month.

If you have any questions about your monthly invoice or the detailed breakdown, please contact the front desk.

If corrections are needed, they can be made by the 9th of the following month to be included in the current month’s payroll.

Note: Parking fees are always deducted from your paycheck one month later. This means your parking fees for March will not be deducted until your April paycheck.

What are the rules for anventron and enersuisse employees?

The same rates apply to aventron and enersuisse employees as to Primeo Energie employees.

What should I do if I temporarily use a different car whose license plate number isn't on file? (e.g., if my car is in the shop and I have a rental car)

Employees can notify the front desk of this exception and have the front desk set their status to “visitor.”

If I charge my electric vehicle at a P2 charging station, do I also have to pay parking fees?

Yes. Anyone who uses the parking time to charge their vehicle benefits from a dual service, for which they must pay separate fees to different service providers.

As an external contractor, I don’t have an employment contract with Primeo Energie, but I do have a Primeo Energie email address. What does that mean for parking?

Even if you are an external contractor without an employment contract with Primeo Energie, you are eligible for the employee rate. Please make sure you have a credit card on file as your payment method.

I visit Primeo Energie quite often. Will I still be able to use it for free as a “regular visitor”?

Anyone who parks on the premises for more than 3 days a month can no longer park for free as a visitor and must register.
