The joint company, which will start operations on 1 January 2021 under the Primeo Energie brand, aims to become the leading energy provider in the Swiss electricity and gas market. We have put together the following questions and answers for all customers.

Why am I receiving an invoice from Primeo Energie AG?

As a result of the merger of EKZ and Primeo Energie, all EKZ customer contracts have been transferred to Primeo Energie AG (under the same terms). Primeo Energie AG will therefore be your new energy supplier as of January 2021 and invoice you for the electricity you use.

Will I receive an invoice from Primeo Energie and one from EKZ (grid) in the future?

That's correct. As a former EKZ customer in the EKZ supply area, you will receive one bill from EKZ (grid) and one from Primeo Energie AG (energy) as of January 2021.

If you wish, one joint invoice can be generated in future at a fee.

What happened to the Energy for Business, Strom.Flex, Strom.Business, and Strom.Optima products?

Your electricity supply contracts as well as the conditions (prices, tariff periods, etc.) with EKZ remain in effect. Only the product name that appears on the monthly invoice has changed.

Does Primeo Energie also have a customer portal?

Yes, with the myPrimeo Energie customer portal, you can access all relevant data and information at all times. And you can now also place your energy queries conveniently. Go to portal.

Simply go to Login, choose "Forgot password", enter your email address, and follow the instructions in the email to create a new password. We look forward to seeing you in the new portal!

Why is EKZ merging with Primeo Energie?

There are around 600 electricity suppliers competing fiercely in the dynamic Swiss electricity market. We are better off working together in bringing about the required digitisation. The aim is to offer our customers the best energy products in Switzerland.

Who will be my consultant in the future?

You have been notified of a possible change by email.

Where are they located?

Primeo Energie has locations in Zurich at Sihlquai 253, 8005 Zurich, and in Münchenstein on Weidenstrasse 27, 4142 Münchenstein.

Will the terms and conditions of Strom.Business/Energy For Business continue to apply?

Yes, the contracts and GTCs are being transferred with all associated rights and obligations. Primeo is an experienced and established energy supply company that will manage EKZ's services competently and reliably.

What will happen to my current contract?

The contracts will be transferred to Primeo Energie AG with all the rights and obligations.

Will my direct debit invoice data be transferred?

No, it is not permitted to share such data, for data privacy reasons.

Will e-billing still be possible?

Yes, you will receive the invoice by email in future, but you will need to register it again via your e-banking account.

Is there a new bank account?

Please note that your bank details will change with the transfer to Primeo and you will receive a new payment slip.

Will I still be charged for paper invoices?

No, the paper invoices are free of charge. However, we recommend not using paper invoices, for environmental reasons.
