Lower energy costs, thanks to optimised electricity procurement
Elektrolyse AG covers surfaces with metallic coatings. Almost 90% of its output is exported directly or through distributors. The company competes with suppliers around the world and thus faces considerable price pressure. With Primeo Energie, it was able to reduce its production costs noticeably.
Following the deregulation of the electricity market, Primeo Energie impressed us not only with a very favourable offer but also by taking the time to explain our options in the electricity market in detail."

Benefit from liberalisation? Yes you can!
In the international and competitive environment in which Elektrolyse AG operates, the supply of affordable electricity is essential for survival. But it was easy for the company to switch to a new electricity supplier, thanks to sound advice on procurement and on making the change. Based on their individual requirements, Elektrolyse AG ultimately opted for a fixed-price product that allowed the company to plan securely over several years. The actual switch was not noticeable at all – apart from the savings the company has made since then.
Thanks to the long-term contracts with Primeo Energie, we are able to plan realistically, a key decision factor in our competitive environment. We think we received excellent advice in this regard.

More cost savings through photovoltaics
The company also plans to produce its own solar power in future as a way of further containing its energy costs. In the coming years, a photovoltaic system on the 2,800 m2 roof of Elektrolyse AG is expected to generate up to 60% of the energy the company needs for production.
In future, we are thinking about a storage solution for solar power together with Primeo Energie at some point.
