EBM to become Primeo Energie
EBM is preparing to fully open up the market and is positioning itself as a quality supplier of sustainable energy solutions to its customers. In order to stand out even more from its competitors, EBM is not only expanding its range of services, but also adopting a new name, “Primeo Energie”. This new name has been chosen to better motivate and inspire customers to make use of new, smart energy options. The new branding will be launched on 26 March 2019.
EBM sees its plan to fully open up the electricity market as an opportunity. The company is therefore pursuing a dynamic growth strategy with the aim of being one of the top five energy suppliers in Switzerland. Since as far back as 2009, EBM has been successfully expanding its business operations with energy suppliers and major customers across Switzerland in the partially liberalised electricity market. By taking over Aare Versorgungs AG (AVAG), EBM extended its grid territory by 17 municipalities in the Olten region. In the heating business, EBM is growing rapidly in France and also offers renewable energy products in six European countries. Its products and services are being developed in stages to meet customers’ needs even better in future in a modern, networked world. The transformation of the former regional energy supplier into one of the leading national providers of smart energy products and services is therefore well under way.
New name supports strategy
To tie in with its growth strategy and positioning as one of the innovative leaders on the Swiss energy market, EBM is set to become “Primeo Energie”. Taken from the Italian “primo” (first) and the French “primer” (to surpass), the new name perfectly conveys the company’s ambitions to win over the growing number of customers who feel that using energy sustainably and intelligently is very important. Primeo Energie continues the long-standing tradition of EBM while also placing more emphasis on flexibility, inspiration and smart solutions. The new brand’s launch is scheduled for 26 March 2019 in Switzerland and France. From this day onwards, the whole company, with the exception of the subsidiaries EBM (Genossenschaft Elektra Birseck), aventron and Réseaux de chaleur urbains de l'Est (R-CUE), will officially bear the Primeo Energie brand.
